Tool Earns Pair Of Nominations For 2020 Grammy Awards

Tool earned a pair of nominations for the 2020 Grammy Awards.

The band’s "Fear Inoculum" is up for Best Rock Song and “7empest” earned a nod for Best Metal Performance.

Tool's first album in 13 years, Fear Inoculum – which debuted at No. 1 – failed to score a nomination for Best Rock Album but Bring Me the Horizon, Cage the Elephant, The Cranberries, I Prevail and Rival Sons made the cut.

Vampire Weekend’s Father of the Bride earned nods for Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album. The band is also up for Best Rock Song (for “Harmony Hall”).

Nominations in 84 categories, recognizing the best in music released between Oct. 1, 2018 and Aug. 31, 2019, were announced Wednesday morning.

The 62nd Grammy Awards, hosted by Alicia Keys, will be broadcast on Jan. 26, 2020.
