WATCH: Dennis DeYoung performs Styx classic while in quarantine
Dennis DeYoung posted an acoustic rendition of a Styx classic on YouTube while in quarantine this past weekend.
The former Styx lead singer begins his video by asking the rhetorical question, "what's a mother to do?" He goes on, "I don't know. I guess follow the guidelines and try to stay out of harm's way; what else can we do right now?"
DeYoung then acknowledges fans' requests for him to "sing a song and make us feel better" and breaks into an acoustic version of "The Best of Times" from Styx's 1981 Paradise Theatre album.
Watch:
DeYoung's seventh solo album, 26 East: Volume 1, was originally set to be released on April 10 but will now only be available on May 22 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fans were given a sneak peek of what to expect with the pre-release of 2 tracks, "To The Good Old Days" (featuring Julian Lennon) and "East of Midnight".
