Day 1: On Rock Community Services

On Rock Community Services is a community organization committed to making a difference in the Montreal area by being a resource for people in the community. This takes various forms, including a Food Bank, a School Lunch Program, and a Community Diner. Find our more at OnRock.org or call (514) 696-1905.

Day 2: Generations Foundation

Generations Foundation has introduced food programs to assist children in becoming more independent and self-sufficient. They support cooking classes and after-school programs where older students assist younger students with their homework. Find out more at generationsfoundation.com or call (514) 933-8585.

Day 3: Sun Youth

Sun Youth has been taking care of people for more than 60 years by providing to individuals and families in need a range of emergency services that ensure their basic needs and maintain their integrity. Aware of the challenges linked to poverty and crisis situations, Sun Youth provide emergency services such as food assistance as well as clothing, medical, financial and material assistance. Find out more at sunyouthorg.com or call (514) 842-6822.

Day 4: The Gazette Christmas Fund

Since 1967, when the Christmas Fund began, it has raised more than $25 million to be distributed to some of the neediest people in our community. The Montreal Gazette absorbs the entire cost of administering the fund, so every penny raised ends up in the hands of those who need it most. Find out more and donate at christmasfund.com.

Day 5: Share the Warmth

Share the Warmth is a community group that works to fight hunger and poverty. Our goal is to awaken hopes and dreams in the community so that we can all eat, so that we can all learn and grow, and so that we can all work. Find out more at sharethewarmth.ca or call (514) 933-5599.

Day 6: Old Brewery Mission
