We visit two resorts this weekend

Well, the NEWSTALK ski team is changing it up this weekend..Instead of heading north we're heading east to Brimacombe on Saturday and west to the gem hidden in the hills of Caledon on Sunday to Hockley Valley.

We're really looking forward to visiting a couple resorts that can stand on their own and concentrate on family fun.

Once again a reminder...book daily tix in advance from respective websites....there will be no day of tix for sale.

Brimacombe is one of the oldest heritage resorts in the Province,  80 years old and formerly the Oshawa ski club.  I'm really impressed with their vertical at 300ft, which is comparable to most resorts in the Barrie area.

They also offer something very unique..half day tix for you'll have a start and end time on your lift tix. Thats a smart idea so more skiers can enjoy the hills.

There's 22 runs, 3 terrain parks and 10 lifts.  It's a perfect spot for night skiing and just an hour east of the city.. located just off the 115/35 cut off..head one exit south and follow the signs..Masks are mandatory on and off the hills.  Reservations are required to enter the chalet for food..Takeout is available..there are rentals but no lessons.

On Sunday, we're visiting one of the coolest resorts just one hour north of the city..Hockley Valley just east of Orangeville... I've been visiting Hockley for years as one of the best 4 season resorts anywhere in the Province...Hockley is famous for it's fine and casual dining with executive chefs creating all sorts of unique and exquisite offerings.

There's an 8,000sq ft spa with full services available..There's an indoor pool with reservations required..The ski hills are perfect for beginners and young ones but still challenging enough for the more experienced. They have a great Stay Tonight, ski tomorrow package..Sunday through Wednesday which we'll have the pleasure of doing this weekend.  Plus, here's something really cool..Globe dining under the stars...you eat in globe tents so perfect social distancing but still enjoying all the great amenities of Hockley.

There's also a famous winery on property..Award winning Adamo Estate winery with a take out menu as well.  You can also order a case of wine and have it delivered to your home for free in Ontario...We're really looking forward to enjoying these two great resorts so watch for the NEWSTALK Pizzaville Audi Etron to win a $25 gift card from Pizzaville...Have a great weekend!
