All eyes on Hells Angels gathering for downtown wedding
Nearly 300 people with connections to Quebec's organized crime networks are currently at The Windsor downtown for the wedding of a senior member of the Hells Angels.
Martin Robert, a powerful member of the biker gang, is marrying Annie Arbic. The couple have dated for over a decade.
Both served several years in prison earlier this decade; Arbic in connection to a cross-border drug-trafficking scheme based in Kanehsatà:ke, Robert for plotting murders during the biker wars.
Operatives from the organized-crime units of the RCMP, SQ and SPVM are all on-site during the festivities.
They're not just there to pay attention to known members of the mafia, but to check-up on people who aren't members but may be linked to criminal circles. According to the Journal de Montreal, about 270 people are in attendance in all.
So far, no disturbances have been reported at the reception.
