Annual test of Emergency Warning System to be held today

Don't be alarmed if you hear warning sirens this afternoon.

Today is the day for the City of Montreal's annual emergency warning system test.

The sirens are used to signal major industrial accidents such as a leak of toxic chemicals.

Sirens will sound at nine factories around the city between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
