Arrest warrant for cyclist in suspected road rage against STM bus
A 43-yr-old cyclist accused of allegedly smashing the windows of a Montreal city bus in July in a suspected case of road rage has gone AWOL.
Kyparissis Polyzoudis was nowhere to be found at the courthouse when they proceeded with roll call yesterday - he was scheduled to appear in court after being arraigned and released on conditions in mid-July.
The judge issued an unendorsed arrest warrant for Polyzoudis so that police can arrest and detain him.
Polyzoudis is charged with armed assault, mischief and uttering threats.
He's accused of smashing the windshield and some windows of an STM bus on Notre Dame East in July, reportedly because he felt the bus was crowding him while he was riding on his bicycle.
Polyzoudis was released on several conditions including keeping away from the STM bus driver and not being allowed to have a bicycle.
