COVID 19 casts shadow over summer vacation plans

When it comes to planning a vacation this summer it appears Quebecers have similar concerns about COVID 19.

A CAA survey finds that only 50% of Quebecers plan to take time off this year compared to 74% who did so in 2019 and a majority will push off their vacation to August and September from July.

The survey also indicates that those who will take a vacation this year plan to stay close to home, use their car to get to their destination and spend less when they get there.

77% of respondents say they will vacation in Quebec this year compared with 59% last year.

5% say they will travel elsewhere in Canada, 2% plan to vacation in the United States while 4% will try to travel overseas.
