The Canadian Union of Public Employees, representing around 10,000 flight attendants, has issued a strike notice, and Air Canada has responded with a lockout notice. The airline has already started cancelling flights and says a full shutdown could happen Saurday. Tens of thousands of passengers could be affected, and with peak summer demand, finding an alternative seat could be tricky.
