Restaurants in regions to re-open June 15
Residents of Quebec living outside the Montreal region will soon be able to start making restaurant reservations again.
The Journal de Montreal reports that Premier Legault will announce Monday that restaurants in the regions will be allowed to re-open on June 15th.
The newspaper says owners will be permitted to open both dining rooms and outdoor terraces but their will be spacing restrictions between tables.
Servers will have to wear masks and eye protection such as safety glasses or a face shield and kitchen staff will be required to wear masks.
Buffet-style eating will be permitted, but self-serve is not going to be allowed.
Instead an employee will serve customers individually at the buffet table.
There has been no indication when restaurants in the Greater Montreal area will be allowed to re-open.
