Six STM passengers were brought to the hospital Friday morning following an early morning collision involving two buses.

It happened in the Saint-Laurent borough shortly before 7 a.m. on Brabant-Martineau street near Henri-Bourassa.

According to Urgences-Santé, the six passengers suffered minor injuries.

The two bus drivers were also slightly injured, but did not require medical attention.

According to police, two 215 buses were following eachother. When the first bus made a mandatory stop, the other bus did not stop in time because of an icy patch and collided with the first bus.

The STM says it will investigate to make sure it was not a mechanical error, such as faulty brakes.
