Jared Leto Climbs Empire State Building, Announces 30S2M Tour
Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto scaled the Empire State Building in Manhattan this morning (November 9).
The daredevil stunt wasn't part of any upcoming movie he's promoting, but an attention-grabbing moment to announce the 30 Seconds To Mars Seasons 2024 World Tour.
Leto dropped by for a quick post-climb interview on NBC’s TODAY morning show, telling the team, “[The stunt] was very challenging. But I’ve always had a fascination with the Empire State Building and I love to climb.” Adding, “It was in celebration of the tour and doing those things that you aspire to do.”
In a statement, Leto added that “The building is a testament of all the things that can be done in the world if we put our minds to it, which is largely the inspiration behind our most recent album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day.”
The Seasons 2024 World Tour is the band’s first headline tour in over five years. The massive trek is set to kick off on March 15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina for an appearance at Lollapalooza. The tour will then run across Latin America, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.
The lone Canadian date will take place at Budweiser Stage in Toronto on August 12.
Tickets will be available at thirtysecondstomars.com starting with a band pre-sale beginning on Friday, November 10 at 10:00AM local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Friday, November 17 at 10:00AM local time.
