BTS Sings 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town' As Jin Is Spared Military Service
BTS gathered around a Christmas tree to sing “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” on The Disney Holiday Singalong.
Mid-song, RM looks at the camera and says: “Ho Ho Ho! Hey kids, what do you wish for this Christmas? This year, it’s BTS! Let’s go!”
The biggest gift this holiday season went to Jin. The South Korea government on Tuesday passed a revision to the country’s Military Service Act to allow him to postpone his mandatory service by two years.
Until now, all South Korean males were required to enlist in the military before they turn 28 and complete about 20 months of service. Jin celebrates his 28th birthday on Friday.
The singalong special, which aired Monday on Disney-owned ABC, also featured festive performances by Ciara, Chloe x Halle, Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, P!nk and Canada’s Michael Bublé.
