The Timmins Police Service is asking for the public's help to find an ATV driver who threatened a woman who took his picture as he illegally drove on the Terry Fox walking trail late Thursday afternoon.

"An ATV operator was driving on the trail system in direct violation of the restrictions and posted signage prohibiting such activity," police said in a news release Friday.

When a woman walking along the same trail took his photo, "the ATV operator made a threat to run the pedestrian over."

The ATV operator fled the scene before police arrived, heading northbound on the trail system near Bannerman Street.

The suspect was wearing a black helmet and a jean jacket at the time of the offence.
