Chatham-Kent firefighters battle large pallet fire in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent firefighters responded to a large pallet fire in Wallaceburg.

Crews from Wallaceburg and Chatham were called to 760 Gillard St. at 6:24 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

When crews arrived, they found a large compound full of wooden pallets on fire.

Crews from Chatham and Wallaceburg volunteers firefighters were called to the scene and officials say the fire was brought under control by 7:30 a.m.

Heavy equipment was utilized to move debris around and to cool any remaining hot spots.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and no injuries were reported.
