A command post has been set up at a Toronto school after a nine-year-old boy went missing on Tuesday morning.

Toronto police say Anderson Joseph Black was last seen at 10:45 a.m. at Summit Heights Public School in North York. 

"We hope the child is found soon and in the meantime we are offering any assistance we can to Toronto Police," the Toronto District School Board said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. 

Black has been described as standing four-foot-five-inches tall, with blonde hair, average build and a fair complexion.

He was wearing an orange jacket, dark sweat pants and running shoes. 

Anyone who sees Black is being asked to contact police immediately.
