The Greater Essex County District School Board is informing parents and students about the upcoming deadline to request a change in the learning model.
The GECDSB said the deadline is Monday, Oct. 19, to allow for planning and preparation.
A form will be available online through the GECDSB website beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 14, closing at 4 p.m. on Oct. 19.
A child's first and last name, student number and date of birth will be required information.
Parents / guardians of elementary students may submit their request to change from the current learning model to: in-person; remote - virtual or paper packages.
Secondary students may change from the current model to either in-person adapted or remote - virtual.
The re-entry dates will be Nov. 9 for elementary students changing learning models and Nov. 12 for secondary students.
The board said no changes will be accommodated after the Oct. 19 date for elementary or secondary students at this time.
Another opportunity will be provided to parents / guardians to change the learning model for this school year in January 2021.
