A 29-year-old man from Kirkland Lake is facing several drug-related charges after Ontario Provincial Police seized more than $10,000 in illegal drugs during a raid Nov. 5.

In a news release, police said they executed a search warrant at a residence on McCamus Avenue in Kirkland Lake.

"Police seized drugs suspected to be opioids (fentanyl), cocaine and crack cocaine," the release said. "Also seized was Canadian currency, a firearm and ammunition. Estimated street value of the seizure is over $10,000."

The 29-year-old is charged with three counts of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.

He was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on Nov. 12.
