Police said shortly after 2 a.m. on Monday, a 44-year-old man forced his way into a home on Karla Drive trying to find a woman he was previously in a relationship with. After finding she was not there, he drove away damaging a fence as he left.

Officers found and arrested the accused on Lakeshore Drive and determined he was impaired by alcohol.

He is now charged with:

  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
  • Driving a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs
  • Forcible entry
  • Breach of recognizance
  • Fail to stop for a collision

He was released on bail and is scheduled to appear back in court on Nov. 24.

Police are withholding his name to protect the victim.
