Joan Perron of North Bay has won $250,000 with Instant Bingo Multiplier.

"I started playing the lottery 34 years ago," Perron said, while at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

A retiree, she realized she won big while playing her ticket at home.

"I turned to my husband and told him I thought I won something. He said, ‘What, like $20?’" she said.

The mother and grandmother shared the news about her big win with her children and friends.

"My face hurts from smiling," she said.

Perron plans to share her win with family and purchase an RV to travel across Canada.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lucky 13 on Mckeown Avenue in North Bay.
