Police lay charges in historic domestic assault case in Sturgeon Falls

Ontario Provincial Police in Sturgeon Falls have laid charges in connection with domestic assaults that took place in August 2012 and February 2017.

OPP began the investigation Oct. 10 and on Oct. 31, a 35-year-old from Sturgeon Falls was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault. Police did not release the gender of the person charged.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Dec. 3 in Sturgeon Falls.
