Suzanne Neely of Spanish matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Sept. 25 draw to win $100,000.

Neely, a 59-year-old grandmother, said she’s a regular player and always playing Encore.

“I almost didn’t purchase a ticket,” she said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “My husband said, ‘Well you can’t win if you don’t play’ so I stopped and picked one up.”

Neely checked her ticket using the OLG Lottery App.

“I took my phone to my husband and he thought I had bad news because I was shaking," she said. "I said, ‘Look, we won.’”

She said she knows exactly how she’ll use her winnings.

“I’m going to pay off my house, vehicle and some other bills," Neely said. "But what I am most excited for is to surprise my son and daughter-in-law with a down payment on a house. I can’t wait to share this news with them … I’m still pinching myself as a reminder that this is really happening.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Highway Variety Plus on Algoma Street in Spanish.
