A Sault Ste. Marie man is back in police custody after being released by mistake earlier this week.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service says 30-year-old James Bolan was arrested Thursday after being released by mistake at the courthouse on Monday.

Officers located Bolan just after 10:30 p.m. and took him into custody without incident.

Bolan has been remanded to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre.

He is facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, and unlawfully entering a dwelling in connection to an incident that happened in May 2019. These charges have not yet been proven in court.
