Despite repeated messages asking people to slow down as students return to school, one driver in Sudbury clearly didn't get the memo.

Greater Sudbury Police caught the driver Tuesday morning doing 84 km/h in a school zone where the speed limit is 40 km/h.

"$329 fine and four demerit points," police said in a tweet.

"Driving more than double the speed limit? That’s double the danger. Please slow down in school zones and let kids have a safe back to school experience."
