A Timmins man in his 20s has been confirmed positive for COVID-19 following international travel, Porcupine Health Unit confirmed Friday.
It is the 74th positive case in the area that includes Timmins, Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls, and Smooth Rock Falls.
The man was tested Aug. 31 and is in self-isolation.
"This individual has been following all of the public health recommendations for international travel and remains asymptomatic in self-isolation at home," the health unit said in a news release.

Currently, there is also an active case in Sault Ste. Marie and in the Sudbury District.
