A 54-year-old man from Timmins was killed Nov. 4 when the vehicle he was driving struck a rock cut on Highway 11 near Tilden Lake.
North Bay Ontario Provincial Police received the call just before 5 p.m. about a serious collision.
"Further investigation revealed that the single motor vehicle was travelling southbound when it lost control and collided with a rock cut," police said in a news release Thursday.
The driver was pronounced deceased and has been identified as Paul Genier of Timmins.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and the Office of the Chief Coroner - Ontario Forensic Pathology Service helped with the investigation.
Highway 11 was closed for several hours and re-opened shortly after 9 p.m.
