JRDN (born Ralph Jordon Croucher on November 14, 1978, in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian R&B artist known for his smooth vocals and dynamic performances. Raised in Toronto, he was introduced to hip-hop culture at a young age by King Lou of Dream Warriors, who lived in his building. JRDN attended St. Francis Xavier University, where he played basketball before pursuing a professional career in France for a year. His musical journey began with participation in Canadian Idol and collaborations with Halifax producer Trobiz, leading to his debut album No Dress Code in 2007. His 2010 album IAMJRDN featured hits like "U Can Have It All" and "Like Magic," both of which achieved Gold certification in Canada. "Like Magic" also earned him the 2012 SOCAN Urban Music Award and topped the MuchMusic Countdown. In 2014, JRDN won the JUNO Award for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for his single "Can't Choose" featuring Kardinal Offishall. After a brief hiatus, he returned to music in 2018 with the single "Rumours," followed by the 2021 album RALPH. In 2025, JRDN ventured into the dancehall genre with his single "Hold Tight," produced by 7 Gate Record, showcasing his versatility and continued evolution as an artist.
