Montreal’s popular summer electronic music festival ÎLESONIQ is taking a year off to recover from COVID-19.
“In order to produce a festival worthy of the best ÎLESONIQ has to offer, we unfortunately have to postpone our highly anticipated 7th edition to next summer,” read a statement from promoter evenko.
ÎLESONIQ is scheduled to return Aug. 6 and 7, 2021.
Fans who hold on to their passes until next year will receive a credit of either $25 or $35 for use on the festival site. Those who prefer to get a refund can follow the instructions on the festival website.
Tiësto, deadmau5 and Sean Paul were among those set to headline this year’s ÎLESONIQ, as well as DJ Snake and Loud Luxury.
“We thank you for your patience and we already feel that this 7th edition will be our most legendary to date,” read the message. “The official 2021 programming will be announced once the situation has stabilized. We can’t wait to see your smiling faces.”
In April, evenko announced it was also putting Osheaga and LASSO on hold "to reflect on the options available." Announcements about these events are forthcoming.
