Four teenagers were charged Monday in connection with the February murder of rapper Pop Smoke.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Corey Walker, 19, and Keandre Rodgers, 18, are charged with murder during the commission of a robbery and a burglary.
A 17-year-old and a 15-year-old were each charged with murder and robbery in juvenile court.
Walker and Rodgers face life in prison without the possibility of parole but are also eligible for the death penalty.
The four are accused of breaking into a Hollywood Hills home at around 4 a.m. on Feb. 19 where 20-year-old Pop Smoke, whose real name was Bashar Jackson, was staying. The house is owned by Edwin Arroyave, husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp.
Police believe the suspects determined his location based on the rapper’s social media posts. Hours before his death, Pop Smoke had posted a photo on Instagram showing him with a stack of cash while sitting in a car in the driveway of the house. In a separate post, an address is visible in a photo of a gift bag.
