Rapper A Boogie Wit da Hoodie was arrested Monday after a search of his New Jersey house on Monday uncovered guns and marijuana.
The 25-year-old, whose real name is Artist Dubose, was charged with weapons and marijuana possession and a disorderly persons violation.
Police executing a search warrant said they found four handguns, hollow-point bullets and various high-capacity magazines.
Dubose’s bodyguard Quashaun Hagler was charged with illegal weapons possession.
Investigators have not said why they had a warrant to search Dubose’s home but insisted it was not related to a shooting Sunday night outside a nightclub where he celebrated his birthday.
All three of Dubose’s studio albums have made it into the Top 10 in Canada – including 2018’s No. 1 album Hoodie SZN.
