We had a sinking feeling Adele would celebrate her 30th birthday in a big way – and she didn’t disappoint.
On Saturday, the singer marked her milestone with a Titanic-themed bash in which she perfectly channeled Rose DeWitt Bukater, famously portrayed in the 1997 film by Kate Winslet.
Adele later took to Instagram to share several photos – in black and white, naturally – showing her partying like it’s 1912. In one, she is descending a grand staircase worthy of the doomed cruise ship and in another she and her guests are dancing while wearing vintage life vests (too soon?)
“Dirty 30! I’m not sure what I’m going to do for the next 30 years as I’ve been blessed beyond words in my life so far,” Adele wrote. “Thank you to everyone for coming along for the ride the last 11 years with me. My family and friends for entertaining my super fandom of the Titanic movie. Last night was the best night of my life.”
She added: “I’m absolutely f**ked, not sure I’ll make it out the house again!”
Happy 30th birthday, Adele. Here’s hoping your heart will go on.
