Adele came to Justin Bieber's defense when her audience at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney, Australia collectively showed their disapproval for the "Sorry" singer on Friday.
The British singer-songwriter reportedly asked over 95,000 people in the arena if they will return to the venue for JB's concert next week (Wednesday, Mar. 15). When the crowd allegedly responded with deafening boos, Adele responded: "If you started out at 12, you’d be like that too, okay!"
Last month at the Grammy Awards, the "Hello" singer made headlines after refusing to accept her album of the year win over Beyonce. "I can’t possibly accept this award. And I’m very humbled and I’m very grateful and gracious."
She added: "But my artist of my life is Beyoncé. And this album to me, the Lemonade album, is just so monumental. Beyoncé, it’s so monumental. And so well thought out, and so beautiful and soul-baring and we all got to see another side to you that you don’t always let us see. And we appreciate that. And all us artists here adore you. You are our light."
