One of the biggest stars of the Paris 2024 Olympics was Australian breakdancer Raygun, who stole the show and went viral with her "unconventional" routine on Friday (August 9). One of her biggest fans? Adele.
During a break in her Saturday (August 10) concert as part of her residency in Munich, Germany, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter brought up the dancer's bizarre performance, which broke the internet to become one of the summer's biggest memes.
“Did anyone see the breakdancing lady?" Adele asked the crowd. "Now I didn’t even know breakdancing was an Olympic sport these days. That is f**king fantastic.”
Raygun (real name Rachael Gunn) was competing in the round-robin stage of the women’s breaking contest, where the 36-year-old was swept in her three matches without earning a single point.
“I can’t work out if it was a joke but either way it has made me very very happy and me and my friends have been sh**ting ourselves laughing for nearly 24 hours," Adele continued.
“I just wanted to know if you have seen it. If you haven’t seen it, please leave the show and Google it because it is lols, it is so f**king funny," she added, saying it was her “favourite thing that has happened in the Olympics this whole whole time.”
