In a new interview with the BBC, former member of One Direction Harry Styles opened up about a gift he received from Adele for his 21st birthday.
The gift he received was courtesy of the singer herself: a copy of Adele’s record-breaking, Grammy-winning album 21, along with a note reading, “I did some pretty cool stuff when I was 21. Good luck.”
Styles was floored.

“I was like, geez,” he told Radio 1. “I think she leads by example. She’s the biggest, she’s amazing. She’s the best, so she should be the biggest. The thing with her is she’s a different thing. She’s just good at it. I like how she does everything, it looks very nice.”
The UK singer admitted to reaching out to the pop powerhouse, saying, “I’ve spoken to her a little bit,” he said. “She knows one of the guys that I wrote it with a lot. But I don’t think so much advice, I just like how she does stuff.”
Styles recently revealed the artwork for his first solo single, “Sign of the Times”, on Mar. 31. The song will debut tomorrow (Apr. 7), with an album to follow.
