Adele is saying “hello” to the single life.
Reps for the British singer confirmed Friday that she and Simon Konecki have split after seven years together.
“Adele and her partner have separated,” read a statement from the singer’s reps on Friday. “They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
It is not known when the parents of six-year-old Angelo called it quits. They were seen together at an Elton John concert in L.A. in January but Adele was photographed last month without a wedding ring in New York City.
The 30-year-old singer has always been very private about her personal life. Adele began dating Konecki in 2011 and, four years in, told the Australian version of 60 Minutes about “being in such an amazing relationship with someone that's so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now. That's what made me write about everything I've ever done, because I've got his love.”
The two are believed to have tied the knot in a private ceremony at their home in Los Angeles in late 2016.
At the Grammy Awards in February 2017, Adele casually referred to Konecki as her “husband.” The following month, at a concert in Australia, Adele confirmed the marriage while talking about her hit “Someone Like You.”
"As bad as a break up can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth, and I am addicted to that feeling,” she explained.
"Obviously I can't go through with those feelings because I'm married now. I've found my next person.”
