If you need another reason to believe that Adele is a class act, just read on about the pop titan's recent visit to the firefighters at the Chelsea Fire Station following the tragic Grenfell Tower fire that left at least 79 individuals dead or missing and presumed dead.
On Monday (June 19), Adele stopped by with cake to thank the firefighters for their brave efforts during the fire. As per station manager Ben King's interview with The Independent, the singer just turned up at the station, knocked on the window and said she had some cake for the crew.
“So we opened the door to her and then she took her sunglasses off and said, 'Hi, I'm Adele.' Everyone was so shocked," King recalled. "She came in, came up to the mess and had a cup of tea with the watch and then she joined us for the minute’s silence. We have had so much support for the local community and we cannot thank everyone enough."
Photos of Adele took the blogosphere by storm on Tuesday, courtesy of several firefighters and even the London Fire Brigade's official Twitter account. "Adele enjoyed a cup of tea with Chelsea firefighters yesterday and thanked them for their work. We are so humbled by everyone's support," the account shared of the visit.
London's 24-story Grenfell Tower fire has seen plenty of memorials and donations in the days following the tragedy. If you want to thank the firefighters for their efforts, head over to the Firefighters Charity for more information.
