Bassist David Zablidowsky of Adrenaline Mob was killed Friday in an accident on a Florida highway.
Authorities said a tractor trailer veered off the road and struck the band’s RV, which had pulled onto the shoulder to change a tire.
Adrenaline Mob was traveling to St. Petersburg for a concert on Friday night.
The crash killed Zablidowsky and injured six people, including tour manager Janet Rains.
The 36-year-old musician also played with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and ZO2.
“I'm overwhelmed with sorrow,” Adrenaline Mob singer Russell Allen wrote in a Facebook message. “I am so grateful for the outpouring of love we have received from around the world.”
Allen said the band’s RV was “engulfed in flames” after the crash.
“I’m trying to process & deal with this, physically & mentally,” Adrenaline Mob guitarist Mike Orlando wrote in a statement. “We’ve literally experienced hell on earth. I’m absolutely broken, both physical & mental. I love you Dave, I will miss you more then words can say. You were one of the sweetest souls I’ve ever known.”
Drummer Jordan Cannata shared: “David Z…I love you, I miss you, and send my heartfelt condolences to your family and friends.”
Canadian rocker Sebastian Bach paid tribute to Zablidowsky on Facebook.
“We hung out and jammed together at gigs and were friends,” the former Skid Row singer shared. “The last time I saw David Z was when we played the Opera House in Toronto last year. I bumped into him and his lady in the lobby of the hotel.
“Rock in Peace David Z. You will be missed by all who ever knew you.”
