Country star Alan Jackson is mourning the death last week of his son-in-law at 28.
Samuel Benton ‘Ben’ Selecman died after suffering a traumatic head injury when he fell on a dock in Jupiter, Florida.
“The Jackson and Selecman families ask for – and appreciate – prayers during this difficult time,” read a statement on the country star’s website.
Selecman, an assistant district attorney in Nashville, married Jackson’s eldest daughter Mattie last October.
Jackson was scheduled to perform concerts on Friday and Saturday in Charleston and Charlotte but the shows were scrapped due to Hurricane Florence.
