Is Alanis Morissette testing the waters for a new tour?
The Canadian singer announced this week two concerts in Australia early next year — only months after she does a series of shows in the U.S.
An Evening with Alanis Morissette, promoted as an acoustic show, is set to happen in Melbourne on Jan. 23 and in Sydney on Jan. 24.
Morrissette, 43, is already scheduled to perform at festivals in Illinois and California on Aug. 25 and Sept, 17 respectively, and has two casino dates set for Iowa on Aug. 26 and California on Sept. 16.
So far, no Canadian shows have been announced.
The Ottawa native’s last tour was Intimate and Acoustic in 2014-15.
Morissette’s third album, her breakthrough smash Jagged Little Pill, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2015. That same year, she was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
Morrissette has been married since 2010 to Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway, with whom she has two children.
