Alessia Cara shared some good news for fans on Thursday – she’s releasing new music.
The Canadian singer tweeted that she plans to put out an EP aptly titled This Summer.
“Caught the writing bug out of the blue and made an EP,” Cara said. “I’ll be releasing a new track every couple of weeks until it’s (sic) release.”
Cara promised the first song from the collection, “Ready” will be out July 22.

It will be the second EP from the 23-year-old Ontario native, who released Four Pink Walls in the summer of 2015. She followed with her debut album Know-It-All, which spawned hits like “Scars to Your Beautiful.”
Cara’s most recent album, The Pains of Growing, dropped last November. She is currently on tour in the U.S. with Shawn Mendes and will play Ottawa and Montreal in August.
