Alessia Cara on Monday shared with fans some of the horrific insults she gets from cowards who use the anonymity of social media to spew their jealousy-fuelled vitriol.
“This is the s**t I read on a daily basis. For doing nothing,” she wrote in an Instagram story, along with screen shots of some of the tweets. “People on the internet are disgusting and I lose hope for the world along with brain cells every time I see it.”
The Canadian singer – who performs at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in Toronto this weekend – added: “I’m just trying to make my music and mind my own business. This is why I turn my comments off.”
