Now here’s a rare surprise! At a recent concert in Nashville on May 14th, rock’n’roll legend Alice Cooper dimmed the lights on stage, only to bring out his original band to play five classic songs together.
Bassist Dennis Dunaway, guitarist Michael Bruce and drummer Neal Smith joined Cooper on stage, which has only happened a handful of times since 1975.
They cycled through their hits, playing "I'm 18," "No More Mr Nice Guy," "Muscle of Love," "Billion Dollar Babies" and closing with "School's Out." The original band took to the stage before accepting an award from The Music Business Association the following day for their “historic” achievements.
Cooper recently announced Paranormal, his forthcoming album, out July 28. The new first single off of the album, “Paranoic Personality”, hits streaming June 9. ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons, U2 drummer Larry Mullen, and Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover will be featured on the album.
The “School’s Out” singer will be on tour throughout 2017, making one stop in Toronto on Sept. 2. Watch their performance of “School’s Out” below:
