Allman Brothers Drummer Butch Trucks Dies At 69

Legendary southern rock drummer Butch Trucks has died at age 69. Trucks was the founding drummer for the Allman Brothers Band.

His booking agent, Page Stallings, confirmed the death to Rolling Stone this morning. His cause of death is currently unknown.

Trucks is credited with writing the book on southern rock drumming alongside fellow Allman Brothers Band drummer/percussionist Jaimoe Johanson.

Trucks is the uncle of guitarist Derek Trucks.
