Canadian country artist Andrew Hyatt announced Tuesday that his debut full-length album, Iron and Ashes, will be out on May 19.
A native of Sudbury, Ont. who left a job in a nickel mine to pursue country music, Hyatt had a hand in writing all but one of the songs on the album, which was recorded in Toronto and Nashville.
“I don’t take a moment of making music for granted,” Hyatt said, in a release. “And, I can’t wait to give you this new record.”
The album features two versions of the single, “She Ain’t You,” which was released earlier this month. It follows his 2015 six-song EP “Never Back Down.”
Hyatt has a handful of live shows lined-up, including the Cavendish Beach Music Festival in PEI on July 8 and the Boots & Hearts Music Festival in Ontario on Aug. 11.
