Ariana Grande was left so shaken by the deadly bombing outside her concert in Manchester last year that she “cried for days,” according to her manager.
Scooter Braun said the pop star wanted to cancel the rest of her world tour after the attack that killed 22 people last May.
“When she found out that fans of hers had died, she was… so sad,” Braun told the Big Questions with Carl Fussman podcast.
“She cried for days, she felt everything – every face they announced, every name, she wore on her sleeve. Every bit of emotion because that’s who she is.
“And the thing I will always remember is that she goes, ‘If I don’t do something, I’m not who I say I am to these people.’”
Shortly after the horrific attack, Grande tweeted: "broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words."
Braun said dealing with the tragedy was “beyond tough.” He recalled: “Every single time we got down we reminded each other we get to go home. Our loved ones are still going to be there. That mother is never coming home, that daughter is never coming home, that son is never coming home, that dad is never coming home.
“So we didn’t really have a right to be so sad that we couldn’t continue.”
