Ariana Grande and Mac Miller have split up, according to multiple reports.

People said the couple parted amicably and “will remain friends.”

Grande, 24, and Miller, 26, decided to break up, TMZ reported, because of their busy schedules. "They've remained best friends since then," it said.

The singer and the rapper collaborated on the 2013 track “The Way” and went public with their relationship in late 2016.

They were last photographed together in public in March at an Oscars party. In April, Miller tweeted about Grande’s new song “No Tears Left to Cry.”

“Very proud of this girl right here,” he wrote. “Welcome back. We missed You. One of a kind."

Update: On Thursday, Grande shared an Instagram Story in which she called Miller "one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet."

She added: "I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!

"Uncondiitonal love is not selfish. It is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment, it's not you."
