Ariana Grande has vowed to return to Manchester to perform a benefit concert for the victims of last week’s terror attack and their families.
“I don’t want to go the rest of the year without being able to see and hold and uplift my fans, the same way they continue to uplift me,” Grande wrote in an open letter posted on Twitter.
“I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans … I will have details to share with you as soon as everything is confirmed.” (On Saturday, TMZ reported the concert will be held on June 4.)
After the blast outside Manchester Arena following Grande’s concert, the pop star was quickly taken away from the venue and flown by private jet to her home in Florida.
Grande later cancelled several upcoming dates on her Dangerous Woman tour, which was supposed to move on to London for shows on Thursday and Friday. (Boyfriend Mac Miller cancelled two festival gigs in the U.S. this weekend so he can support Grande.)

In her letter, Grande expressed determination to carry on.
“We will not quit or operate in fear. We won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win,” she wrote.
“Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before.”
Grande’s song “One Last Time,” from her 2014 album My Everything, has re-appeared on UK charts since the terror attack.
Grande said she hopes her music can help the healing process.
“Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy. So that is what it will continue to do for us,” she wrote.

“We will continue in honor of the ones we lost, their loved ones, my fans and all affected by this tragedy. They will be on my mind and in my heart everyday and I will think of them with everything I do for the rest of my life.”
