Ariana Grande continues to mourn the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.
Exactly one week after the rapper’s death, Grande shared a clip from a video she shot during a happy moment together.
“i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore,” Grande shared in the caption. “I really can’t wrap my head around it.”
Miller’s cause of death has not been officially determined pending the results of toxicology tests but it is suspected he overdosed.
“we talked about this. so many times,” Grande wrote. “i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else.
“i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.”
Grande had previously paid tribute to Miller by posting a black-and-white photo of him on Instagram, without a caption.
She and Miller, who had been together for about two years, split in May. At the time, she tweeted about how she had “tried to support his sobriety and prayed for his balance for years” and referred to Miller’s “inability to keep his s**t together.”
