Ariana Grande says therapy has helped her deal with personal issues and her overall mental health.
In a Twitter exchange with fans, the 25-year-old pop star said: “In all honesty therapy has saved my life so many times. if you're afraid to ask for help, don’t be. u don't have to be in constant pain & u can process trauma.
“i’ve got a lot of work to do but it's a start to even be aware that it's possible.”
Grande recently opened up about her mental health in a BBC TV special.
"I almost feel guilty that I have it [anxiety] because it's just in your head and it's just so crazy how powerful it is,” she said. “You have ups and downs and sometimes you'll go weeks at a time where you will be crushing it and there will be no anxiety…and then something will happen that can trigger it and then you have a couple of down days.”
Grande said the most vital part of dealing with mental health issues is leaning on a circle of friends and family for support. “The most important thing is to remember that…everybody has this. Talk to your loved ones, reach out to people, especially your friends online. Reach out to each other.”
