Ariana Grande is set to return to Manchester on Sunday, June 4 for a benefit concert, called One Love Manchester. It will be broadcast live on 15 iHeartRadio stations, which includes Virgin Radio, Sun FM in British Columbia and Capital FM in Fredericton.
The three-hour concert takes place at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester and will feature a star-studded line-up including Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Niall Horan, Coldplay and Justin Bieber. Pharrell Williams, Usher, and British group Take That are also set to perform.
One Love Manchester was announced in support of the victims of the suicide bombing May 22, which left 22 dead and 116 injured. Following the attack, Grande released a statement on Twitter promising her return, saying: “We will not quit or operate in fear. We won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win… Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before.”
The tickets sold out in just six minutes after going on sale Thursday (June 1). Fans who were present at the concert May 22 have been offered free tickets to the event, which will honour victims of the attack. "We would like to reassure any fans who were at the show that they will receive a free ticket," Ticketmaster said in a statement.
All of the sales will go to the Red Cross's Manchester Emergency Fund. The concert is expected to raise nearly $3.5 million. Tune in to One Love Manchester Sunday, June 4 at 2pm ET on your local iHeartRadio station.
